OVERVIEW OF THE PLAYER CONTRACTS:
Each year prior to the draft we will now have player contract signings. You will have a salary of $4,000 per year and cash will now be carried over from year to year. The base amount for a player is set at $60 based off a set formula that consists of previous season's fantasy points and overall health (number of games played).
You will have the opportunity to sign the following amounts of contracts:
One contract for 7 years
One contract for 6 years
One contract for 5 years
One contract for 4 years
One contract for 3 years
Unlimited contracts for 2 years
There are no one year deals allowed and all drafted players will count as $60. You do not have to use all the major contracts listed above. All free agent pickups will cost $60 There will still be the 30-point players bonus each week worth $60 (still divided among the leading teams if there is a tie)
CONTRACT FORMULAS:
Value for batters is based off of Average Points times 15 multiplied by previous seasons games played divided by 82. [F.Ave x 15 x (Games Played / 82)]
*The number of contracted years compounds by a 5% increase per season
*In order to re-sign a player with a previous contract that has completed raises the base cost by 20% or by the updated version of the formulas above from the season prior. The contract amount will go to the highest amount between the two. (This means it is a 25% increase if you re-sign for 2 years, 30% for 3 years, 35% for 4 years, ect.)
TRADING CONTRACTED PLAYERS:
Should you choose to trade away a contracted player (with a major contract) the contract no longer is restricted against you. For example: Tyler trades away Kyrie Irving who has a 7 year contract to Brad for cash. Tyler will be able to use a 7 year contract again on another player. Brad, who will have two 7 year contracts then will be allowed to hold both, but will not be able to issue another 7 year contract until there are zero left on his team.
DROPPING CONTRACTED PLAYERS:
If you drop a player that is contracted for future years there is a penalty of 50% salary owed one the seasons the contract goes through. The only way to avoid this is if the player officially retires or passes away.

Each team will have their own page similar to this. And will be updated throughout the year.
In order to help explain this above. I'll use my team to show you the options... Kyrie Irving is obviously the best player to sign to the longest contract so he is obviously the 7 year contract I'd use. Dwight Howard who is aging which may score less than the contract's worth, would be wiser to sign to a much lesser contract like 2 or 3 years or trade away prior to the draft. Avery Bradley who had an injury would limit his cost and though risky would be smarter to sign for a deal, if you want to take the risk.
So what we end up with here is this:
CURRENT CONTRACTED PLAYERS
PLAYER | POSITION(S) | YEAR SIGNED | CURRENT CONTRACT | FINAL SEASON | MINIMUM RE-SIGN COST
| Irving, Kyrie | PG | 2017 | 7 Years / $3,640___ ($520 per year) | 2023 | $624
| Green, Draymond | SF | 2017 | 5 Years / $2,385___ ($477 per year) | 2021 | $572
| Lillard, Damian | PG | 2017 | 4 Years / $2,024___ ($506 per year) | 2020 | $607
| James, LeBron | SF | 2017 | 3 Years / $1,833___ ($611 per year) | 2019 | $733
| Walker, Kemba | PG | 2017 | 2 Years / $848__.__ ($424 per year) | 2018 | $509
| Howard, Dwight | PF | 2017 | 2 Years / $844__.__ ($422 per year) | 2018 | $506
| Bradley, Avery | PG | 2017 | 2 Years / $470__.__ ($235 per year) | 2018 | $282

If for some reason you dropped a player due to injury or lack of performance, as stated above you won't have to still pay the full contract. But you will have to pay 50% the following years that the initial contract was valid through. It would look similar to this:
FORMER CONTRACTED PLAYERS WITH VALID CONTRACTS
PLAYER | POSITION(S) | YEAR SIGNED | CONTRACT | FINAL SEASON | PENALTY | REASON
| Jon Jones | PG | 2015 | 4 years at $306 | 2019 | -$153 | He failed to be as good as Steph Curry
| Rob Jones | SG | 2015 | 5 years at $289 | 2020 | -$145 | He failed to be as good as Klay Thompson
