The season will be divided base on the number of weeks Fantrax schedules each year. Like in the NFL, you will always have more matchups against division opponents than otherwise. The regular season may vary from year to year so the schedules are built accordingly:
12 Week Season: 6 Inner-division, 7 out of conference games (1 bonus match)
» 13 Week Season: 6 Inner-division, 8 out of conference games (1 bonus match)
14 Week Season: 8 Inner-division, 7 out of conference games (1 bonus match)
15 Week Season: 8 Inner-division, 8 out of conference games (1 bonus match)
16 Week Season: 10 Inner-division, 7 out of conference games (1 bonus match)
(» indicates the current season's setting)
As of the 2014 season everyone in the league plays a different opponent base every week. For example in 2013, there were weeks everyone played intradivision matches, and other weeks where everyone played the opposing conference. That is no longer the case. 2014 was the first time I split up when everyone plays in an effort to make a more entertaining playoff race.
We all play ±1 home or away game on odd scheduled game years. Otherwise, we all play an even number of home and away games. In the unlikely event of a tie the home team will get the victory. Lastly, we cut off the last week of the NFL season in a move to eliminate players being benched for rest.
Starting in 2020 we'll all be playing one bonus match randomly spread out through the season.
