Every year eight teams make the playoffs, four from AFC & four from the NFC.  The top team in each match will get a 10 point home field advantage (HFA) as an award for having a better regular season.  Additionally the top team (#1 Division Winner) will play the #4 ranked division opponent in the first round in both leagues.  The #2 plays the #3 of course then.  In the event of even records the tiebreaker for playoff positioning, the H2H record will determine who is higher.  If that is a draw then it will go based off of regular season points.
