Every year eight teams make the playoffs, four from American League & four from the National League. The top team in each league will get a 15 point home field advantage (HFA) as an award for having a better regular season. Additionally the top team #1 in the division will play the #4 in the division in the first round in both leagues. The other #2 gets the HFA and plays the #3 in the same division. In the event of even records the tiebreaker for playoff positioning, the H2H record will determine who is higher. If that is a draw then it will go based off of regular season points.
